Trik Memilih Cincin Kawin (Wedding Ring)

INDONESIA LANGUAGE SERIES

Cincin di jari manis kiri seolah bicara : hey leave alone, I’m with somebody.

Sang ratupun dikenal sebagai Queen of Diamond.

Ditemukannya rancangan Tiffani (Tiffani setting) dianggap sebagai tonggak sejarah yang mengubah cincin berlian selanjutnya. Sang penemu, Charles Lewis Tiffany merancang cincin emas bertahtakan berlian ditengah – tengahnya lingkaran yang memancarkan kilau mempesona. Rancangan semakin menegaskan symbol kemegahan pemakaiannya.

Memilih cincin

klasik.

Desain cincin kawin umumnya simple.

4.UKURAN (SIZE)
Jangan membeli cincin tanpa mencobanya. Modern Magic with a Contemporary Wedding Cake

Modern Magic with a Contemporary Wedding Cake

It is hard to define what exactly constitutes a modern wedding cake – although most
people agree that if you opt for a white tiered cake then you have gone the traditional route. Modern cakes are infused with fun and whimsy. They reflect the personalities and tastes of the couple instead of being just a sweet and pretty looking dessert. They are works of art that a cake designer has labored over – sometimes for days. The modern wedding cake is a magnificent marriage of creativity, taste explosions and unparalleled beauty. Here are some of the ways in which modern chefs have revolutionized the way we think about
wedding cakes…

Expanding Flavors
Cake flavors are no longer the plain offerings they were in the past and have (thankfully!) moved away from the brandied fruit cake confections they once were. Today the choice of flavors ranges from straight vanilla to banana, carrot, mango and strawberry to your choice of liqueurs. Wedding cakes can be made ice cream or mousses or even cheese cakes. Selecting what you want really hinges on your personal taste.

New Designs
Instead of the typical round or square cakes – designers are opting to use more varied shapes in the creation of contemporary wedding cakes. Some cakes are stepped instead of tiered, some are hexagonal and some are molded. Modern cakes also bear fabulous decorations including intricately made flowers, shells, beading, lace or ribbons.

Presentation
The way in which wedding cakes are presented has also changed. The stands are no longer a regular base but sometimes several delicate bases, sometimes they rotate or incorporate fountains or flowers in them. The more you are willing to spend the more ostentatious the presentation of the cake can be, however, no matter what you select the modern cake is sure to make a lasting impression on all who see and taste it.

Protect your investment, preserve your wedding gown

Protect your investment, preserve your wedding gown

You wouldn't throw $1,056 out the window — not even if you're a deliriously happy newlywed, right?

That was the average gown price in the 2006 American Wedding Study, the most recent survey available by Brides magazine. After the wedding, many of those gowns don't get cleaned, thus greatly diminishing their chances of ever being worn again.

"Brides don't skimp on their gowns but they don't understand that they're not protecting their investment if they don't clean them. They'll wait two, three, four, five years before they start asking about cleaning, but the problem is some of the stains have started to oxidize," says Joe Hallak, co-owner of the Hallak Cleaners stores in New York and New Jersey.

There is a direct relationship between time passed and the ability to clean a stain, he says.

A wedding dress doesn't have to go to the cleaners straight from the reception hall; bringing it in within a few weeks would do.

The actual cleaning is just as important as the preservation process, says John Hallak, Joe's brother and a partner in the business. "One of the bigger misconceptions out there is that the box the gown is preserved in is the important part, but the box can only preserve the reality you put into it."

The most common stain on wedding dresses is wine, according to the Hallaks. White wine and champagne, which make less noticeable stains initially, are just as damaging as red-wine stains over time.

The typical cleaning process involves spot cleaning, machine cleaning and steam cleaning. Then gowns are pressed and put in a box to help control humidity.

Wedding gowns also typically have hem soil, especially if it was an outdoor wedding. "Soil has a lot of different components," Joe Hallak says. "It's not just dirt; there's grease in soil, fertilizer in soil."

Those are things that eat away at the fabric.

Another common wedding stain is lipstick, though Hallak says it is unlikely to set permanently.

The Hallaks also treat gowns with a process aimed at neutralizing sugar residue, including stains from wine or cake frosting.

Once you've got the gown in its box, they recommend shifting it around slightly every few years so certain parts don't fade or develop permanent creases. Wear rubber gloves, though, because fingers are greasier than you'd think, they say.(source:By SAMANTHA CRITCHELL)
